ABOUT ME

I am a First Nations mother to Arika and grandmother to Willa Grace   involved in politics, social services and education to non-First Nations people in Australia about First Nations peoples' laws and ways of being. I am  committed to truth, integrity, authenticity, respect for all, and sustaining the Earth.

I have been an academic at seven Australian universities and the Australian College of Applied Psychology in the fields of Indigenous studies, counselling, community development, public and social sciences and social & environmental policy, Foundation Director of Charles Sturt University's Aboriginal Education Unit and the University of Melbourne's Centre for Indigenous Education, co collaborator/designer of the CIRI collaborative Research Initiative at the University of Canberra ACT and the Executive officer of the Healing  CIRCLE a First Nations research teaching group at Southern Cross University NSW involved in trauma recovery and learning recovery through education.​ I have taught at the University of Tasmania, the University of Queensland, Southern Cross University, the University of Canberra, the Australian Catholic University,  the University of Sydney, and the Australian College of Applied Psychology with sessional/casual teaching at others including at St Catherines College, St Paul, the Academy of Higher Learning, Brahma Kumaris Rajasthan, India, Mexico, UK, France, Italy and Australia in Self Management Leadership and Sacred Leadership /First Nations knowledges. My academic qualifications are:

  • Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) from the Australian National University 2018

  • Post-Graduate Diploma in Management from Melbourne Business School 2007

  • Masters in Social Administration (Community Development/Population Health) from the University of Queensland 2003

  • Graduate Certificate in Social Science (Couns.) from the Australian Catholic University 1998

  • Masters of Social Work , Australian Catholic University -current

 

​Since 2018  I have been the  CEO of OneINMA Global, a First Nations consulting company in the field of sacred leadership registered with Supply Nation I founded.  Since 2000 I have been the Chair as co-founder of the Foundation for Indigenous Recovery & Development Australia, which provides Aboriginal Women's Business retreats for all women in Australia and overseas as well as healing and therapeutic services for free as a volunteer therapist.

I also mentor in transformational and sacred leadership based on my PhD research. I have had a 360 Leadership Circle Profile Certification for the past 10+ years and regularly mentor executives & workplace managers using this knowledge.
